I am Pelin Bayer, a citizen of the world born in Istanbul. I started travelling at the age of 16 and have never stopped. I have been living in Ortigia - Syracuse, since 2017. The smallest but deepest place I have ever lived.
The dialogues between the people, the lifestyle and the fact that everything has kept its originality quickly brought me closer to the locals. In this place, everything that is original fascinates me so much. I decided to start Pelin's World to tell the stories of artists and artisans and to connect their lives with responsible travellers.
I believe that in a rapidly changing world, getting to know local artists, local products, and their stories will increase the interaction between the tourism industry, travellers and the local population.
